The Ballerina…

Greatness excused the obliteration of fear
Likened to unleavened twilight brought by a tear
She fell into step with the bandwagon of chance
Held by shear ecstasy and pithed by romance

The smallness of universe encased her laments
Forgotten in pirouettes of unmasked contents
Too sordid and too sullen to set up a stage
Lazy were her feet to bother with faultless rage

Oblique lines kept on prancing around her vision
Regretful of a feat to fulfill a mission
Retrieving the maces and swords hurled by the tongue
Uncast spells and incantations better unsung

Oscillating ripples imbibed by regret
A performance nobody will ever forget
Brought to closure the farce tapped by her blistered toes
Promising never to look at ribbons and bows
